Maritzburg United winger Jabulani ‘JB’ Ncubeni played a key role in the SA U20 team’s thrilling 3-2 win over Brazil at Newlands in Cape Town on Thursday evening.

After a hectic and successful Easter week end the Maritzburg United Youth Teams took on the Hammarsdale Football Association’s selected youth teams in a series of friendly games.

The games were played at the Dare Osborne Sports Grounds in Pietermaritzburg on the 8 April 2010.

Head of Development, Katz Naidoo said that these games were played in a friendly spirit and was to two fold. One was for the United Youth Technical Staff to identify talent and other for the Hammarsdale District Association to prepare their teams for forthcoming Inter District Youth Tournaments.

The Team of Choice U13’s won their encounter 4-3, the U15’s were overwhelming for the Hammarsdale select 11 winning 5-0 while the visitors U17 team upstaged the United U17 side 2-1.
