Maritzburg United will be looking to turn the tables on a Bidvest Wits side who have had the better of the Team of Choice over the years.


The game, the first Absa Premiership outing of 2015, takes place at Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday, 10 February 2015, with kick-off at 19h30.

United go into the match in seventh on the Absa Premiership log with 22 points from 17 matches.


The JHB outfit are third on standings with 31 points from 18 games.
Maritzburg will be looking for an improved showing at home in the second half of the campaign, having taken just 13 points from nine games so far.

Gavin Hunt’s team meanwhile have picked up 21 points from nine away matches this season.

The Team of Choice have also only managed to beat the Clever Boys just once in the seven home matches they have played against Wits.


Overall, Maritzburg and Bidvest Wits have clashed in 15 league matches since 2006/07. The Gauteng team have claimed six wins to the three for Pietermaritzburg club, with six draws.
