Maritzburg United went down 4-2 to the University of Pretoria in an Absa Premiership match played at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday.

Martizburg played some great football and with Zulu in sparkling form. They were rewarded in the 24th minute when a mazy solo run from Deolin Mekoa took out five defenders and ended with him burying the ball in the top corner.
Tuks came out all guns blazing in the second half and equalised after three minutes in when Mpho Maruping turned home a cross from Vuyisile Ntombayithethi.
Lennox Bacela then struck twice inside a few minutes to put AmaTuks 3-1 up.
On the hour Atusaye Nyondo made it 4-1 after his shot from the edge of the box deflected into the goal.
The Team of Choice tried to find their way back into the game and did manage to pull a goal back in the 67th minute when Zulu headed home a cross from Pogiso Sanoka.
Four minutes later Maritzburg Maritzburg were awarded a penalty, but Kurt Lentjies failed to convert from the spot.
