United fight back for a late point
15 October 2016

A goal six minutes from time by Kurt Lentjies salvaged a 1-1 draw away to Free State Stars on Saturday afternoon.

The Team of Choice had the first chance of the game 20 minutes in, but Pogiso Sanoka failed to hit the target.

There was another chance for United before half time in Orkney, but Sheldon Van Wyk was denied by Stars goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni in the 41st minute.

Goodman Dlamini put Ea Lla Koto ahead nine minutes into the second-half.

Maritzburg pushed hard for an equaliser in the second stanza and had their chance in the 84th minute when Davis Nkausu handled the ball in the Stars box.

Lentjies made no mistake with the spot kick to ensure the Team of Choice returned home with a hard-earned point.
