PSL debut for MUFC duo
17 October 2016

Two Maritzburg United players played their PSL debut game against Free State Stars in Orkney this past Saturday.

Lebohang Maboe (pictured beneath coach Ernst Middendorp) and Devon Saal (bottom row, far left of pic) who were signed from Mbombela United and Santos FC respectively in the NFD, were part of the team that drew 1-1 in a match where the Team of Choice created a lot more chances than the home team.

Maboe played the whole game whilst Saal came in for Pogiso Sanoka in the 61st minute. The boys acquitted themselves very well and have therefore given Coach Middendorp even more options going forward.

Maritzburg United travel to FNB stadium for a second encounter against Kaizer Chiefs, this time for a Telkom Cup game, after having lost the first one which was a league game.

However if the performance by the boys from the Capital City in the first game is anything to go by, this is going to be a very competitive game.

Kick off is at 8.15pm this Saturday.
