NEDBANK CUP: SWALLOWS AWAIT TEAM OF CHOICE

Maritzburg United have been drawn away to Swallows FC in the last 32 of the 2018 Nedbank Cup.

This followed the draw in Sandton on Monday night, which saw the 16 PSL clubs go into the hat with eight national First Division clubs and another eight from the lower leagues.

Maritzburg have of course done battle many times over the years against Swallows FC in their former guise as Moroka Swallows.

However, the Birds were relegated from the top flight at the end of the 2014/ 15 season and are now campaigning in the Second Division, the ABC Motsepe League; effectively the third tier of South African football.

The dates and venues are still to be confirmed.
