XULU CALLS FOR UNITY AHEAD OF CHIEFS CLASH

Ma Maritzburg United skipper, Siyanda Xulu has called on his teammates to show the same fight and determination that helped them succeed last season.

The 26-year-old will lead The Team of Choice out against Kaizer Chiefs on Friday evening at the Harry Gwala Stadium (8PM).

The former Amakhosi defender says the clash is a chance to kick-start their campaign.

“I think we just have to pull ourselves together, fight for one another and convert our chances,” Xulu said.

“We always want to turn things around and we will have another chance to do that. I think the one thing we have to rectify is that we have to take our chances,” he added.

Maritzburg United coach, Fadlu David’s reiterated Xulu’s comments about the team’s final product.

“That x-factor in the final third, that’s exactly what we need,” Davids said.

He continued, “Last season I won the first three games in a row and then went eleven games without a win, so I’d rather start this way and then kick start my season In the coming month,” he added.

Davids also pointed out that his team remains without key personell at the back.

“We play Kaizer Chiefs and then we have a month to prepare for Wits, that will give Brian Onyango and Nazier Allie a chance to get back. We need that experience after missing Bevan Fransman,” the Head Coach concluded.

Tickets are R60 for adults and R20 for kids under 12 (Kids tickets only available at Computicket outlets).
