TEAM OF CHOICE TARGET FAST MDC START

The MultiChoice Diski Challenge gets underway in KwaZulu-Natal this weekend.

Maritzburg United’s Asidlali team will host season three champions Mamelodi Sundowns at Hammarsdale on Sunday at 10am.
Head coach, Siya Mdluli is confident his team are ready to get going and believes a strong mental approach is needed in order to achieve positive results.

"The teams preparation has gone well. We need to concentrate and focus and give our best for the match," he said.

Mdluli, who has brought with him valued experience after his stint with Real Kings in the National First Division, had an impressive third-place finish in the league last time round.

Not one to place too much emphasis on past results, he is targeting a renewed sense of energy from his charges.

"I can't say that we have a specific target but I can say that each and every game is important for us,” Mdluli added.

“We want to get as many points as possible to put us in a respectable position at the end of the season, then I will be happy.”
