MARITZBURG TO FACE LIONS OF THE NORTH IN TKO

Maritzburg United will face Highlands Park at home in the first round of the 2018 Telkom Knockout.

This followed the draw on Monday night in Johannesburg.

The 2018 Telkom Knockout is set to start on the weekend of 20/21 October 2018.

Newly-promoted Highlands Park have made a bright start to the season under coach Owen Da Gama and will provide the team of Choice with a tough test at the Harry Gwala Stadium.

Maritzburg can look to their riveting Nedbank Cup run last season, when they went all the way to the final, for inspiration in the TKO.

The defending champions are Bidvest Wits, who beat Bloemfontein Celtic in last season's final.
