NDLOVU DETERMINED TO RESCUE UNITED

Maritzburg United's very own local boy, Siphesihle Ndlovu, has stressed the importance of beating the drop and staying in the Absa Premiership as the clock ticks towards the business end of the campaign.

The Team of Choice have six games left and their star midfielder believes that the team which moulded him into the player he is today, will fight to the very end to ensure that they keep their top flight status.

"At the moment everyone is willing to work hard," Ndlovu said. "We are feeling the pressure of being at the bottom. Now it is all about sacrificing everything for the team.

"That is what we are all driving towards. It's very important for me that the club stays up. This is the team that made me in to the person I am today. So I think it is very important that we fight and give our all to keep this team in the Premier Soccer League."

United have eight days left before the visit of Bloemfontein Celtic and Ndlovu feels that they will be ready for a stern test from Siwelele.

"It's very positive," the 22-year-old added. "All the friendlies we have been playing, yes we experienced some losses which I think we can learn from and it motivates us to improve and do better. I think preparation has gone well and come Friday we will be ready for Bloemfontein Celtic."

The game is one of three home games left for the Pietermaritzburg outfit and will be played next week Friday, April 5. Kick-off is at 20h00.
