The Team of Choice will lock horns with Abafana Bes'thende at the Princess Magogo Stadium in KwaMashu - kick-off at 15h00 - in what is the first derby of the season.
"I've told the boys, the season is not only about the game against Arrows, but it's about every game they play, so we must take it very seriously," Mdluli says. "Each and every game we play we have to take it as a cup final."
Playing in the derby is a motivation in itself to the players and coach Mdluli says that players have been training extremely hard preparing for this match.
"I don't want to put my players under pressure," the coach explained. "They have to go there and try at all cost to win the match, but what is important is to represent the brand and the badge with pride.
"Playing to win and playing a good brand of football will be determined by the correct attitude. I'm happy with their performance at training during the course of the week."
United are currently sitting in the 12th place of the MDC table with four points from four matches, while Arrows sit at the bottom of the table without any points in as many games.
"My players are taking some good steps forward because I can see some improvement," Mdluli added. "So I'm positive we will get a positive result on Saturday."
All the players are available for selection after the coach confirmed there were no injuries or suspensions.
