This followed Sunday’s draw in Port Elizabeth. The semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of 22-24 November and Chiefs have been drawn as the home team.
In the other semi-final, Golden Arrows will host Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Team of Choice booked their spot in the semis with a 4-3 penalty shoot-out won over Highlands Park at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Friday night, after the scores had been locked at 1-1 at the end of 120 minutes.
In the previous round, Maritzburg also triumphed on penalties, against Bidvest Wits.
Amakhosi, under former Maritzburg United head coach Ernst Middendorp, edged out Orlando Pirates on penalties in the quarterfinals, having beaten Cape Town City in the first round – also via spot-kicks.
Before the semi-final against the Glamour Boys, the Team of Choice have two league outings; away at Orlando Pirates (Tuesday November 5), and a clash with Bloemfontein Celtic at the Harry Gwala Stadium (Friday November 8).
