Experienced campaigner and former Cape Town Spurs and Maritzburg United attacking midfielder, Salie Adams has joined Maritzburg United F.C. as Assistant Coach to Gordon Igesund, taking over the role that was left vacant by Clinton Larsen’s move to Bloemfontein Celtic.

The Club is delighted with the appointment of the experienced Adams who served under Eddie Lewis at Manning Rangers, Gordon Igesund at Manning Rangers, Roger De Sa and David Bright at Santos for seven seasons.

Gordon Igesund interviewed coaches from the Province of KZN, Gauteng and Cape Town for the position, but was convinced with his choice of Salie Adams. “ I feel Salie will add value to the club and help me achieve success” said Igesund.

"It is great to be back after 27 years to serve the Club that I hold dear to my heart, said a visibly excited Salie Adams. When I was offered the opportunity of the interview I did not hesitate. I want to say to the supporters of the Team of Choice, “ I don’t have to be here, I want be here”"
