Maritzburg United, which is based in the Capital City of KZN, Pietermaritzburg, this week embarked on R20 000 #Shareforgood food bucket distribution to less fortunate people within the Msunduzi Municipality.

200 food buckets were received from Shoprite to be issued to needy people. Maritzburg United partnered with the Msunduzi Municipality in this drive where His Worship the Mayor of Pietermaritzburg, Cllr Chris Ndlela, the Deputy Mayor Cllr Thobani Zuma, and Cllr Jabu Ngubo, a member of the Executive Committee, all joined Maritzburg United Players and Officials in inspiring people to share with other people.

On Tuesday the 9th of December 2014, Maritzburg United with the Deputy Mayor and Cllr Ngubo, visited Ezinketheni, where 100 people received #Shareforgood food buckets.

On Thursday the 11th of December 2014, Maritzburg United with His Worship the Mayor, visited Enkululeko, where 50 people were beneficiarirs of #Shareforgood food buckets. Gratefulness was written on the faces of residents who burst into song in appreciation.

The remaining 50 buckets will be issued at Harry Gwala Stadium during the Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United game on Tuesday night the16TH of December 2016. “We are very excited to be part of this noble initiative. Let us all inspire other less fortunate South Africans and put smiles on their faces” said Marketing and Communications Manager, Brian Zuma.
