Maritzburg United will be out to end 2016 on a high note with a home victory over Bidvest Wits at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Team of Choice are in position eight after picking up two wins and two draws in their last four matches.

The Clever Boys are second, having managed four points from their last four matches, including a 3-1 win over Free State Stars on the weekend.

Overall Maritzburg have met Wits 18 times, the KZN side winning just three while there have been six draws and nine victories for the club from Johannesburg.

The last four matches have all ended in wins for the Students: 2-1, 2-0, 2-1, and 1-0 – the last time United beat Wits was in May of 2014, a change of record surely due.
