28 February 2017

Maritzburg United visits Lamontville Golden Arrows not once, but twice, within a week.

The Team of Choice travels to Durban for the KZN Derby league encounter this Saturday the 4th of March 2017. The two teams will lock horns in an ABSA Premiership clash at Princess Magogo Stadium at 6pm.

On Sunday the 12th of March they go toe-to-toe again, this time in a Nedbank Cup clash at the same venue at 3pm.

This Derby is arguably the most fiercely contested as both teams tend to produce quality football played with a lot of intensity, and more importantly for the fans, goals are never scarce.

The Team of Choice goes into this game one point behind Abafana bes’Thende, occupying eighth and seventh positions respectively. In their last games Arrows collected a point when they drew 2-2 with Chippa United, whilst in Maritzburg, the 2-1 victory against Free State Stars put the Team of Choice in the top eight.

Even more fireworks are expected in the Cup game on the 12th as both teams are determined to do well in the only remaining Cup Competition for the season.

KZN football lovers are urged to come in their numbers to support local football. Maritzburg United has arranged transport and tickets for supporters. For a mere R100 (ONE HUNDRED RAND), you get ONE TICKET FOR THE LEAGUE GAME AND ONE FOR THE CUP GAME, as well as TWO BUS TRIPS TO BOTH GAMES.

To book your place, you have to go to Maritzburg United Offices at 397 Victoria Rd and bring your I.D with you. Seats are available on a first come first served basis.
