UNITED’S U15 AND U17 TEAMS LOOKING FOR THE DOUBLE


Maritzburg United’s U15 and U17 teams will be looking to win both the League Titles and KO Cups on Sunday at the Dare Osborne grounds, as the curtains come down for the Maritzburg and District Football Association’s 2008 season. Both sides as well as the U13’S have already wrapped up the League Titles.

The U15’s play Superior F.C. at 09H00 in what looks to be an exciting match. Coach Dumisani Hlope is cautious to finger the Cup, saying that Superior will not be easy. We have beaten them in both rounds of the league, but Cup games are unpredictable and have reminded my players that they will have to approach this game cautiously and not to underestimate them.

At 10H00 there will be a repeat of the 2007 U17 Cup Final, when United the defending champions take Dales Park F.C. which will be an intriguing match. United’s U17 Coach Themba Dlamini as no fears taking them on as he had beaten Dales Park in their league encounters.

My squad will be rounding off their final preparations tomorrow when they take on United’s academy team at the AB Jacksons Fields in a friendly game.

Non of the youth teams were involved in fixtures over the last week-end.
