UNITEDS INFORMATION CENTRE
Maritzburg United opened its Information Centre on Sunday at Woodburn Stadium, where the Team of Choice were held to a draw 2-2 by Platinum Stars. The Centre will become a regular feature at all Uniteds home games and in and around Pietermaritzburg.
Brand Manager, Younus Kadodia believes the centre will be able to service our supporters and their needs first hand. While we have a daily updated website and archives with our history and services, a huge number of our supporters do not have access to the web, hence the Information Centre will able to service the needs of these supporters, said Kadodia.
The Centre provides for sales of memorabilia, such caps, flags, t-shirts, replica tops and a host of other United merchandise. It will also allow our supporters to get information on the Supporter Club matters, purchase of Season Tickets and Membership Cards. Younus added the Club now offers a Membership Card that could be purchased at the Club’s offices during normal office hours or on match days from the Information Centre. Many of our supporters do not have time to visit the offices on working days the Centre will allow them to get their Cards at the Grounds or wherever they see the Information Centre Sign.
According to Younus another reason that prompted the establishment of the Information Centre was the inundated requests on the formation of Supporter Club Branches. The Centre will be able to allow our fans to get information on Supporter Club issues.
The Centre will also be set up at various points in the City for supporters to have access as well as at Supporter Club Branch Meetings and will ensure that it is user friendly. We owe to our fan base for such a Centre, said Kadodia.
