MARITZBURG COLLEGE CHOIR SINGS AT UNITED GAME

The Maritzburg College Choir sang at United’s game against Bidvest Wits on Saturday. However the game was rained off and they only completed half the programme. They sang their favourite songs well before kick-off.

It was a great pity that the game was called off due to an unplayable field and the Choir who were to continue at half time in front of anticipated capacity crowd could not do so. The inclement weather kept attendance numbers down.

United are indebited to Ms. Mary-Ann Hartley of the College Choir in making them available for our games said Brand Manager Mr. Younus Kadodia. The College which is part of our City’s history can also add to the glamour at our home games. Being a former student at College I had experienced the singing, especially their “war cries” on match days and I am sure they will bring that to our games, added Kadodia

Club Chairman, Mr. Farook Kadodia was also pleased with this initiative by both United’s marketing team and College. College has a great sporting history with many of their former students achieving sporting greatness on the sports arenas of the world. United will pride itself with this association and is hopeful this will become a regular feature at our home games.

Demonique a song and dance act had to also cut short their acts due to rain. They however did keep the early crowd in touch with their performance.
