TEAM OF CHOICE MAKE PIT STOP AT KWAPATA SECONDARY SCHOOL

Maritzburg United visited KwaPata Secondary School in Edendale on Wednesday morning.

The entire squad and technical team were present to conduct motivational talks and host a coaching clinic for the students.

The international break might provide United with extra time to work on the training ground but the team still took time off and made it their duty to give back to the local community.

Team of Choice fan favourite, Andrea Fileccia said, "I'm blessed to have this opportunity. Meeting the kids full of energy and keen to learn is amazing. It's very important we give back to the locals of Pietermaritzburg."

The pupils were given advice on how to balance school curriculum with sport and how to set and achieve high goals in life. The Team of Choice then conducted a coaching clinic where they trained the budding soccer players from the school with some of their own professional drills.

Fileccia and company are back in action on the weekend of the 20/21 October where they will host Highlands Park in the Telkom Knockout last 16.
