MARITZBURG KICK OFF NEW SEASON WITH SEKHUKHUNE CLASH IN THE KZN CAPITAL CITY

Maritzburg United's first match of the new DStv Premiership season is on Saturday night (August 6), when we host Sekhukhune United at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
It will also be a first match in charge for newly-appointed Maritzburg head coach John Maduka.
Kick off for this fixture is at 8pm.
After last season's Covid-affected campaign, the Team of Choice are looking forward to having our fans in the stands from the outset.
Last season the two sides played three times. In the league, Maritzburg lost 2-0 at home and drew 1-1 away in Mbombela. In the Nedbank Cup, the KwaZulu-Natal Capital City club recorded a 2-1 victory.
Both teams have made significant changes to their playing personell over the off-season.
Last season Maritzburg ended 12th, one place behind Sekhukhune in 11th.
